Cavell Ingraham

As a member of ASYLUM, my defining characteristic when I created him was that his music drove people insane. I'd never really expanded much on that, and the more I've been thinking about it I'm wondering how he could become a famous composer if all his music drove people mad, so here's his story: Cavell, similar to Mozart, was a bit of a child prodigy when it came to music. By the time he was 21 he'd already composed several sonatas and arias that became quite well-known. Taking a break from composing, Cavell settled down and got married, and he and his wife had a beautiful daughter. Several years later, however, Cavell witnessed the horrific and brutal deaths of both his wife and daughter. The event traumatized him and caused something inside to snap. He threw himself once again into music, composing furiously. His new pieces were briliant, but in an entirely different way than his old work had been.

The music, heavily influenced by the images that haunted Cavell, caused those who listened to it to go mad or at the very least have horrible recurring nightmares. This effect, however, only occured if a piece was listened to in its entirety. It was a curious phenomenon, and caused certain movements to become very popular. Anyone who chose to listen to the entire symphony, however, would be subjected to madness. Rumors of the phenomenon spread by word of mouth, eventually reaching the ears of Hansel Blood, who decided to call on Cavell and ask him to join his cause, selling him lies that he could make the nightmares and pain go away.

I tried to make him look more realistically aged than I did in my last picture of him, but I don't think his design has changed much since then. But then, it's only been a little over a year since the last time I drew him. That's not to say I'm not happy with how he looks, though.
